It is not an easy thing to get your hands on Gronnling mount; you know, that huge arse Gronn giant humanoid thing you strap your favorite lawnchair on top of and go obscuring the sunlight for all other players and covering important NPC’s such as quest givers and flight masters? There are exactly three of the variant; the first you can get when you have luck to catch the Poundfist rare mob in Gorgrond with a sufficiently capable group that can bring him down. Add to that a bit of luck and you got yourself a Sunhide Gronnling. For those with more patience, persistence and a lot of raiding under their belt, another version called Gorestrider Gronnling can be obtained by getting the Glory of the Draenor Raider achievement. Trust me, that one is difficult enough!
The third way is to get lucky with your Garrison mission, and that is exactly what happened to me today. After a long while, I got a specific and very rare mission popping up for my main character called Breaker Two. Breaker Two, upon its successful completion, gives you the Coalfist Gronnling. I must admit that I did not believe that this mission will ever come up for me, but the RNG Gods seem to have smiled upon me.
To be able to get this rare mission Breaker Two to pop up for you, you need to fulfill the following conditions:
- 3x followers with 675 item level
- 7x followers with 645 item level
- 675 item level on character (no need to equip the gear, you can just have it in your inventory)
- a minimum of 15 active level 100 followers
